Our Distinguished Educator
Patti's not going to blog about this, so Rob will be taking the "news" duties for today.
Last Tuesday, Patti's principal made the announcement at a staff meeting that she was nominating PJ as a "Distinguished Educator for the Southeast Region." As Patti had been having a pretty tough week, her principal decided to "leak" the news a little early to us, and also telling her that as a principal she was entitled to name two teachers from her school, but the only name that kept coming to her mind was Patti Weidenfeld.
With phrases like, "... one of the first teachers to 'be there' when we host a special occasion," and "She is a true advocate for all children," Patti's principal sang her praises to her superiors and the staff of her school.
Just a confirmation of what we've all always known about PJ... she's a wonderful teacher and someone who truly cares about the best interests of her students above all else.
Congratulations, PJ! No one deserves it more than you!
