Our newest addition!

As if there weren't enough Weidenfelds in the world, enter (via adoption) one more - Sasha! I (Rob) recently trekked to Northern California to visit my mother. Sparing the details, suffice to say that on the return trip the car was one large dog heavier.

Sasha is (according to sources) part Chow and part Irish Setter. She is a real beauty with thick, soft golden-red fur and a very sweet disposition. I surprised everyone with her, and - needless to say - the kids and Patti were very excited about our new family member. We all fell in love wih Sasha during our trip to see Mom in July, 2005 (there's a photo of a short-haired Sasha in the photo gallery).

Murphy, ever-crotchety and skeptical, seems unphased by the presence of this new, red behemoth. Mimi, on the other hand, finally has a playmate worthy of her boundless energy. At 8, Sasha has a little more "zip" to her than poor old Murph, who occasionally indulges Mimi in some limited play time, but usually just brushes off her attempts to entice him into exercise.

Welcome, Sasha, to the family. Sorry you won't see any more deer in your back yard... if you look a little closer you might see a lizard, though!
